Want to be taken more serious

I'm about 5ft 4 and im 9 and a half stone (size 12) and i have my days wen i really feel low about the way i look. particually when it comes to lads. Every slim gorgeous girl i know seem to have it all, would i be taken seriously if i lost weight? Im so jealous all the time of other girls... i just dont know wat to do. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Just because some girls may be smaller does not mean that you are not attractive. I dunno what kind of lads you go for whether they just want you for your looks or someone who is really going to love and care for you and make you feel comfortable and beautiful for who you are. There are plenty of decent people out there who will take you seriously, don't just think all guys are wanting someone with looks of a catwalk. This may sound old or even cheesey but its about the personality of a person in my opinion, if you cannot stand to be around someone because of the way they act then you wouldn't stay with them for just their looks. You know that relationships are worth much much more than just looks. I'm sure you are a great person inside and don't try and become a model or what because its notworth the mental torture. Just be who you really are and if someone does not like that then they are not worth thinking about. Good Luck

I agree with the above comment. Its true. Im the same weight and height as you. I was so low for about 3 years because I didnt think I was good enough. Looking at slim, pretty gilrs and comparing myself whenever I went out..I ended up having togo home cos I got so upset. Then I met my best friend, she helped me understand that it doesnt matter what your size is, just look at your good points, your character, look at life in a positive way. And anyway you're a perfect size!! keep smiling :-)

Thanks for the comments it's made me feel loads better. Like you said size 12 isn't fat, it's curvy. And curves are gorgeous! size 12 is the average world women's size, esp in the uk. it is NORMAL just right even!
